Lets get something clear right now: GETTING SICK NOW WILL NOT PREVENT YOU FROM GETTING SICK LATER. Getting the virus now would NOT provide any resistance against a pandemic version, which would definitely have mutated into a deadlier form. Also, the reason more younger people died is because H1N1 causes people with strong immune systems to flip the **** out (cytokine storm)

A good theory as to why the 1918 flu zapped so many young people was because the old farts had already suffered a similar strain before the 1918 victims were born. It’s kinda cool how a virus could mutate so many times that it returns to it’s original form. Who knows: it may even be best to catch it now before the big flu season comes this fall/winter.
